Luma’s mission was to create the fastest, simplest, most secure, and most reliable home network equipped for the technology of today and tomorrow.

Created by Dr. Paul Judge and Mike Van Bruinisse on the premise that home WiFi networks now need to be able to keep every connected device running smoothly and fully secure, the market reacted quickly, attracting the likes of Google and Amazon.

In January 2018, Luma was acquired by First Alert, a subsidiary of Newell Brands.
